Finding My Circle: Why I Joined (and Love) The Ladies Circle
A few years ago, I was craving something more. Not more work (lord knows I’ve got plenty of that), but more connection — real friendships, shared laughs, purpose beyond the day-to-day. That’s when I stumbled into something that’s become a big part of my life: The Ladies Circle.
If you haven’t heard of it before, The Ladies Circle is an international club for women aged 18–45 who want to have fun, make friends, and give back to their communities. It’s a beautiful mix of social events, charity work, and that feel-good kind of friendship you didn’t realise you were missing until you found it.
And guess what? I didn’t just join — I threw myself in. I’m now co-chair and treasurer of our local group (because apparently I can't do anything by halves). It sounds serious, but honestly, it’s just like organising good times with great women — with a sprinkle of spreadsheets.
We meet regularly — sometimes it’s a fun night out, other times we’re rolling up our sleeves to support local causes. What I love most is the mix: one week we’re doing a charity fundraiser, the next we’re learning how to make cocktails or trying indoor clay shooting with a cocktail (yes, that’s a thing). No pressure, no cliques, just women lifting each other up.
It’s given me a support system, a lot of laughs, and a sense of purpose outside of work and home. Whether you're new in town, need to expand your circle, or just fancy getting out and doing something different — I can’t recommend it enough.
So here I am, sharing my journey in The Ladies Circle, one memory (and spreadsheet) at a time.
